Terms and Conditions
Before you embark on your retreat, please take a moment to read and understand our terms and conditions. By making a reservation and staying at Giant’s Rest, you agree to the following:
Booking
To make your booking request, you must be eighteen years of age or older.
Bookings should be made online and on completing the booking, you declare that the information provided is accurate. We accept no responsibility for mistakes made when booking, so please make sure you check your confirmation carefully once received.
Payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. Once your booking has been confirmed and payment has been received, your reservation is guaranteed. All bookings are subject to these Terms and Conditions.
On confirmation, you will receive an automatically generated booking confirmation and payment summary by email to the email address provided at the time of booking. At this point, a contract shall exist between you and us in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Arrival and Departure
Your pod will be available from 3pm on your arrival date. Your check-in is contactless, and you will be sent details prior to your arrival.
You must vacate the pod by 10am on the date of your departure unless otherwise confirmed in advance.
Cancellations and Changes
If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify us as soon as possible and confirm this in writing via email at giantsrest@moyargetfarm.com.
Your booking will only be fully cancelled once you receive written confirmation of the cancellation from us.
If we receive less than 14 days notice, you will be liable to pay the total cost of your stay, including any third-party costs connected with your pre-booked extras that we are unable to recoup.
We strongly recommend that all guests take out UK travel insurance.
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your holiday, we shall inform you as soon as possible and refund all monies paid to us by you within 14 days.
Please note that refunds can only be made to the original payment method.
Closures
From time to time, unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather may occur. In such cases, Giant’s Rest reserves the right to close the site. If this happens, we will move your booking to an alternative date or offer a refund.
Number of Guests
The maximum number of people using the accommodation at any time must not exceed the advertised capacity (four or six guests, depending on the retreat booked) and only those detailed on the booking can occupy the property.
Pets are not permitted in the accommodation.
Weather
We regret that weather conditions are beyond our control and cannot refund any monies if you cancel your booking or reduce your stay due to the weather.
Force Majeure
Giant’s Rest accepts no liability for events beyond our control, including, but not limited to, natural disasters, pandemics, acts of terrorism, fire, or failure of utility services. In such instances, refunds will be at our discretion.
Car Parking
We offer free parking next to your pod. Vehicles and their contents are left at the owner’s own risk, and we do not accept responsibility for loss or damage.
Guest Behaviour
Guests are requested to conduct themselves appropriately and comply with our procedures and requests. Disruptive behaviour may result in immediate removal from the site without a refund.
Low Noise Policy
We are a quiet, peaceful site, and we ask guests to be respectful to others on the site. Loud noise and nuisance will not be tolerated at any time, and all noise must be kept to a minimum after 11pm.
Safety
Your safety is our utmost priority. We have implemented measures to ensure a secure and enjoyable stay.
• Fire pits must not be left unattended and must be fully extinguished after use.
• Open flames, candles or any form of outdoor cooking equipment are strictly prohibited inside the accommodation.
• Only use the firewood/charcoal provided.
• Exercise caution when moving around the outdoor areas, especially at night.
• Ensure that your pod is securely locked when you are not present.
• Children must be supervised at all times, especially around the hot tub and fire pits.
By booking and staying at Giant’s Rest you acknowledge and agree to abide by these safety guidelines.
Smoking
No smoking is permitted at Giant’s Rest.
Hot Tubs
Swimwear is essential when using the hot tub and must be worn at all times. The hot tub is drained, cleaned, and refilled at each changeover or weekly if guests stay longer.
Housekeeping, Maintenance & Damages
Your pod must be left in a clean and tidy condition. Guests will be charged for any item(s) that are removed, lost, or damaged.
Personal Property
Giant’s Rest will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal property. Vehicles, accessories, and contents are left at the owner’s risk. It is recommended that your holiday insurance covers loss or damage to personal effects.
Indemnification
Guests agree to indemnify and hold Giant’s Rest harmless from any claims, damages, expenses, injuries, or liabilities arising from their stay, except where caused by negligence or misconduct by us.
GIANTS REST RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE OR AMEND THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AT ANY TIME.
